Using native timbers and materials, and following villa plans typical of 19th century New Zealand, local crafts men hand-built Brooklands for a pioneering farming family. Their 1200 hectare farm is now a bird-filled forested parkland which Brooklands guests may roam and explore. The homestead remains at the forest's edge, softened and scented by cottage gardens and framed by old trees.
Ten gracious, contemporary styled double bedrooms (all with ensuite and superking size beds or single beds) exude that homely ambience and enveloping comfort that makes Brooklands so special.
Experience or be tempted with apertifs and canapes either on the expansive return verandah overlooking the croquet lawn and the stunning pool, under the outside pavilion with only the stars as company or inside around one of the cheerful fire places.
